caring, respect, integrity and fairness The Department of Emergency Medicine in Saint John, New Brunswick is a Clinical Academic Department, affiliated with Horizon Health Network and Dalhousie University that provides emergency care to over 125,000 patients annually at four hospitals in southern New Brunswick, as well as supporting care on the island of Grand Manan. We also provide academic and clinical leadership in emergency medicine locally and regionally with active educational, research, administrative and clinical support programs. We promote high-quality specialist emergency medicine. The Saint John Regional Hospital is the largest facility in New Brunswick and serves a population of 200,000 in the southern part of the province. As a flagship tertiary care hospital, and level 1 Trauma Centre, we have 23 areas of specialty medicine and surgery, supported by a vast array of research, education, health promotion activities and community partnerships.
