NB Anti-Infective Stewardship – Amox/Clav is appropriate 1st line for mild/moderate Diverticulosis

Did You Know: “Most cases of uncomplicated mild to moderate diverticulitis can be managed with oral antibiotic therapy?”

  • An appropriate first line option would be amoxicillin/clavulanate 875 mg po bid x 7 days.
